Our Work

Our work has developed over the years and we are still growing in our craft and learning every day, as indeed everyone does. We both collect jet on the beach and make jewellery, though our styles and outputs are different. We work on designs individually and collaboratively, and love to interact with clients – many of our best pieces have been the result of collaboration with customers who have an idea they want to realise.

Steve works all our jet and also makes the larger pieces of jewellery. Kathleen usually makes more intricate silver pieces. Both of us are inspired by nature and organic forms. More recently we began to make our own silver wire and sheet from scrap silver but then realised that melting down decorative items is a waste of old designs and craftsmanship. So now we look at a piece of old silver and try to work out how it can be incorporated into a new design. This means not only that we are recycling and reusing the silver but also lowers our carbon footprint.

We sell a small range of our work online and a much larger range at designer craft fairs and events. We don’t have a shop in Whitby.
